Cadmium Telluride Nanocomposite Films Formation from Thermal Decomposition of Cadmium Carboxylate Precursor and Their Photoluminescence Shift from Green to Red

چکیده

This study focuses on the investigation of a CdTe quantum dots (QDs) formation from cadmium-carboxylate precursor, such as cadmium isostearate (Cd(ISA)2), to produce QDs with tunable photoluminescent (PL) properties. The are obtained by thermal decomposition precursors directly in polymer matrix (in situ method) or solution and then encapsulated (ex method). In both approaches, time course is followed means optical absorption PL spectroscopies focusing viable emission spectral interval between 520 630 nm. polymeric matrix, slower than bands have higher full width at half maximum (FWHM). These results can be explained basis limited mobility atoms solid respect solution, inducing an inhomogeneous growth presence surface defects. achievements open way exploitation Cd(ISA)2 suitable precursor for direct laser patterning (DPL) manufacturing optoelectronic devices.
